| 4-H Tech Wizards to present at ESRI International Conference Date: July 22-27, 2005 4-H Tech Wizards Lovely Arceo, Sunset High School, Lizbeth Gonzalez, Hillsboro High School, and Martina Lopez, Forest Grove High School, will present two workshops about 4-H and GIS-GPS (Geographical Information Systems, Global Positioning Systems) at the ESRI International Education conference in San Diego, July 22-27. Spatial technologies are the fastest growing area of career technologies with applications in every field. Starting in 2003 at Hillsboro High School and branching out to Forest Grove High School and Sunset High School in 2005-06, students involved in 4-H GIS Tech Wizards have worked on real-world projects helping to map wetlands, safe school walk zones, CREP agricultural projects, and street trees. 4-H GIS Tech Wizards have partnered with GIS professionals from the City of Hillsboro GIS and Engineering departments, Jackson Bottom Wetlands, and the USDA Service Center.
