I do not usually write on the basis, but this guy blew me away. For $ 125 extra to get more than 1600 dual core, 2GB RAM, Windows 7, a wireless keyboard and mouse and VESA mount (depending). And the dual core makes the difference when you play back 1080p source material.

Remember to download the flash 10 beta 1 which uses Ion acceleration processor or you will be disappointed. Including the latest NVIDIA drivers. I play movies as well as through Media Player Classic – Home Cinema and using a computer to carry out the latest beta BOXEE that while having some defects have been really fun to play. Boxee to consolidate your media library on your computer or network share (I’m using UNRAID server, which is a great media server) and content (TV, movies, applications, You Tube, etc..). Thinking playing next XBMC (What is Boxee is based).

HDMI output works well for both video and audio (no HDMI out all the PC’s audio support I found out the hard way). NVIDIA graphics add-in is the size of your desktop to your table dimensions (do not need to play with the aspect ratio on TV).

Although it is not my place, it would be quite an extra PC children or significant other, if all they have to surf a random word document here or there.

really quiet PC, I simply can not hear it at all, and it stays nice and cool.

Very recommended, but I guess I knew that already!

I started with the desire to find a pc capable of playing HD content, small form factor that I could attach my living room ceiling projector mount. I started in 1600 Revo, but the single core processor in this unit is not sufficient to handle all flash based, although the beta versions of flash using GPU processing. However, this device the cats meow with dual-core Atom. I have not received anything yet, that it does not ring. Ion-format Dual Core CPU is difficult to win money. This device gets the job done, and connect to my desktop, which is to maintain my collection of videos. It is important to note that this device is a wireless keyboard / mouse and a wireless network, where it is not 1600. Oh, and if you can not figure out how to connect your mouse / keyboard to your computer, open the battery compartment with a mouse and you will find the USB receiver is plugged in wherever batts go.

I bought this product CDW because Amazon did not carry it at that time.

Despite this, I am thrilled with its performance. I am currently using it for Media Center PC in your living room if it is connected to your TV (HDMI) and a monitor (VGA).

According to the documents is a bit light, but honestly, if you do not do not know how to combine some of the wires, and press the power button you do not need this computer.

What’s performances, I had no problems with it so far and it is dual-core atom as performing better than expected. I suspect that this is due to dedicated graphics card. I can not increase the amount of RAM (upgradable, but includes a 2GB 4GB), although atm I do not see a real need.

Includes wireless mouse and keyboard are attractive and go well with your computer. They work well out of at least six feet (did not try to go out any farther).

The only complaint is that the VESA mounting brackets are not included in the time of purchase, but this may have changed.

This thing is absolutely perfect. Had the opportunity to play every video I’ve thrown them without skipping beat and it is almost silent to boot. It includes HD content the way up to 1080p. HDMI and VGA / optical output is perfect for hooking up your home theater. It has plenty of USB ports and eSATA port for hooking up and external storage even though I myself have all the stream over a built-in wireless, which receives an excellent reception, even though my router to the second floor. White, a wireless keyboard and mouse are working well, and rarely, if ever drop movements. The keyboard is about 3 / 4 normal size keyboard, which is perfect for HTPC use and can be pushed out easily. Mine included VESA mount fixings behind the TV. The only thing that is not included, that I add a USB IR receiver, so I can control it via remote control.

My complaints are minor. Response Ability for navigating Media Center is a tad slow 5400rpm hard drive and not the fastest thing out there.

Bottom line, you can not beat the price for this thing.

Which has been aa success of my first Ion powered Sony Vaio netbook that works very quickly and flexibly than my Draft N wireless network, I was excited to find a Revo 3610, which is a lot more optimization HTPC. Part of my excitement was N mode Wireless package. I’m going to get that moment, however.

Machine is a good combo, small size, reasonable price and nice components (HDMI NVIDIA and works perfectly with no real tweaking needed just plug in your HDTV). The software is still pretty weak start. Bloatware heavy and painful process to remove it, the machine should be continuously locked lag and give error messages, now I think the Wireless Network was partly to blame. Regardless, after a very frustrating near the brick to make all the mistakes and close all programs and fear of the idea back to the bloated default, I’m a bit bullet and made a USB boot Windows 7 and a fresh install of Win 7 This worked like a charm and I highly recommend it, and by setting up a Flash drive to the front is simple, because MS now has a program that will do it for you, when you download the image file in Win 7 Then just install the NVIDIA drivers, Chrome, Hulu, BOXEE, Flash 10 beta (NVIDIA support), Windows security, and thats about it. Now the machine is cheery and clean again, problem solved !!!!! Or so I thought. . . . .

Left just terrible WIFI yet, its only about 25 meters away from the router and continually drop sign, take a well-N speed (barely B-type rates), and no cause that can be locked in the steam, when the wireless network is up. This is all in the same room with my vaio netbook is a full signal, 97mb / s signal never drops, and rock solid, it also works brilliantly upstairs and abotu 50 meters farther than the acer without any issues at all. So I tried last effort before returning ACER, I wired it to my LAN, and Presto! It worked like a charm, now a computer that was completely useless over wirelss was almost as fast as my Core 2 Duo Desktop and HD games via Hulu and Youtube without any problems.

So I ordered the hardwire cable it is my network to use the HTPC. So the conclusion is, this is a good system, but it took a little effort, so it really complicates the useless junk ACER put it, and hope to loose at least try with WIFI, its really just a pathetic part of the machine, I’m really tempted to just pull off the WIFI card so it never even think about trying to connect again.

Remember these two things and you’re happy with the ACER 3610
1 Consider the WIFI does not exist a machine and get a lot happier!
2 Fresh install of Windows 7 is actually faster and easier than trying to clean the bloatware, and the errors that arrise machine in stock, I highly recommend you do this first and start a nice new software to carry out a very nice machine you’ve just!
